Attending the press conference were Mr. Richard Hawkins – Head of the Representative Office of Foster and Partners in Hong Kong, representing design consulting firms; Jim Goldman – Project Director, representative of the project management consultants and construction supervision of Turner International LLC (USA); Hoang Huu Phe – Director, representing local consultancy contractor Vinaconex R & D; Pham Huy Hung – Chairman of VietinBank, Chairman of ABA; and in VietinBank leaders, members of Foster and Partners and Turner together over 20 journalists and editors of some press agencies, television stations not only in the country but also over the world to attend and report on Press conference.
After a process of urgently implementing concerned tasks legally, works Headquarters Building (VietinBank Tower) – Viettinbank trade, financial, banking center will be started on 20/10/2010 at Ciputra urban area, Thang Long road, Noi Bai, Xuan Dinh, Tu Liem, Hanoi.
At the press conference, Mr Pham Huy Hung said that the project, which consists of the components: the main office of VietinBank, conference center, hotel and entertainment district, is located in a strategic location strategic located between the city center and the airport. With a total of 300,000 m2 area, Ciputra includes two towers, which are linked together by 7-storey podium, constructed for general purposes such as conference rooms, seminars, commercial centers, cafes and restaurants. On the top of the seventh floor is green garden.
The first tower, which is 68-storey, designed to save the power consumption, will be the following main office of VietinBank, one of Vietnam’s largest banks today. It would be a great ideal for bank staff workplace. Second tower, 48 floors, will house the 5-star hotel, wellness area, spa services and luxury apartments for rent, with the emphasis that “diamond bar” promises to be the destination for the dinner, modern style completely new on the roof of the building.
The upper floors of each tower are arranged diagonally to form a V angle, VietinBank logo, completely loyal to the connector 7 storey building and V angles outward to watch full scene City and the surrounding landscape. The selection of the contractor for the work unit is compliance with the provisions of the Procurement and the basic construction law of Vietnam. Expected to have a main contractor and a small number of bid packages.
The consortium model is the first work of Foster and Partners, the world’s leading organization in the field of design consultancy, deployed in Vietnam. It was selected out of 14 of the Foster and Partners designed building .
Thanks to commencement of VietinBank Tower, Viettinbank becomes the first bank to build a combination of commercial and financial bank center in Southeast Asia, once again confirms the position of them on financial markets in Vietnam and actualize dream of development into a VietinBank Financial Group leading banks in Vietnam and the region in the near future.
